Maersk Supply Service steps up its commitment to clean the ocean of plastic

A. P. Møller-Maersk has extended its partnership with The Ocean Cleanup for three years, and Maersk Supply Service will continue to provide marine sup-port to rid the ocean for plastic. At the same time, Maersk Supply Service is launching a Plastic Policy to increase its focus on how it can reduce plastic waste from its own operations and supply chain.

Maersk Supply Service and Ørsted to test offshore charging buoy to reduce vessel emissions

Maersk Supply Service A/S, a part of A.P. Moller-Maersk, and Ørsted have joined forces to test a proto-type buoy that will act as both a safe mooring point and a charging station for vessels, potentially displacing a significant amount of marine fuel with green electricity. The solution, developed by Maersk Supply Service, will be tested on one of Ørsted’s offshore wind farms in 2021.

Maersk Supply Service has been awarded an integrated FPSO tow and mooring installation project for an operator in the North Sea. The work scope includes project management, engineering and offshore execution involving six anchor handling tug supply and subsea support vessels.
