Karl Thorngren will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Maersk Supply Service as of 29 April 2019.

Karl Thorngren, currently CFO of Svitzer Australia, has held leadership positions within the field of corporate finance for 15 years, and has worked within the maritime industry since 2010.

Prior to his role at Svitzer Australia, Karl Thorngren was Head of M&A and Projects at A.P. Moller- Maersk, as well as member of the Esvagt Board of Directors. Karl Thorngren holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Karl Thorngren replaces CFO Michael Krabbe, who will move to a new role outside the company in January. During the interim period, the CFO role will be covered by Mads Winther, Senior VP and Head of Strategy and M&A for the Energy division of A.P. Moller- Maersk.

As CFO, Karl Thorngren will report to CEO SteenS. Karstensen and will be a member ofthe Senior Management Team in Maersk Supply Service.
