About the position
The Second Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and is generally responsible (not limited to) for the operation of main and auxiliary engines, thrusters, and maintenance of other equipment under their responsibility, ensuring compliance with the Chief Engineer’s instructions, current legislation, class requirements, and the Company’s Management System. Their role involves supervising operations, ensuring economic efficiency, safety, and environmental protection. Additionally, they coordinate and control the team’s daily work plans, maintaining constant communication with management and other onboard functions to ensure maximum safety and operational quality.

O/A Subchefe de Máquinas se reporta ao(a) Chefe de Máquinas e tem a responsabilidade de forma geral (não se limitando a) pela operação dos motores principais e auxiliares, propulsores e manutenção de demais equipamentos sob sua responsabilidade, garantindo a conformidade com as instruções do Chefe de Máquinas, legislação vigente, requisitos de classe e o Sistema de Gerenciamento da Empresa. Sua função envolve a supervisão das operações, assegurando eficiência econômica, segurança e proteção ambiental. Além disso, coordena e controla os planos de trabalho diários da equipe, mantendo a comunicação constante com a gestão e demais funções a bordo para garantir a máxima segurança e qualidade operacional.
Requirements
- Experience in the role aboard Dynamic Positioning vessels.
- Availability for offshore assignments.
- Commitment to safety and quality in the work environment.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Advanced English.

- Experiência na função a bordo de embarcações de Posicionamento Dinâmico.
- Disponibilidade para embarques em regime offshore.

- Certificados STCW válidos.
