Marine Electrician

About the Job

The Marine Electrician reports to the Chief Engineer and is generally responsible for (but not limited to) the operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel’s electrical and electronic systems, ensuring their safe and efficient operation in compliance with the Chief Engineer’s instructions, applicable regulations, and the Company’s Management System.

Responsibilities include inspection and maintenance of generators, electric motors, control panels, and communication systems, among others. Additionally, they support the engineering team in identifying and resolving electrical faults, contributing to safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with technical and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in the role aboard Dynamic Positioning vessels.
  • Availability for offshore assignments.
  • Commitment to safety and quality in the work environment.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Will be considered an advantage if you have

  • Experience in Anchor Handling operations.
  • Intermediate English.

Mandatory Certification

  • Certificate of Competence issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority – STCW III/7.
  • Basic and Advanced Safety Courses issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority.
  • Special Basic Course in Ship Security Awareness.
  • DP Maintenance Course.
  • NR 10 – Safety in Electrical Installations and Services.
  • Registration and Record Booklet (CIR).
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination.
