What You Will Be Doing

Your mission is simple yet powerful: attract and engage the best maritime talent while ensuring our offshore colleagues feel valued and supported.

You’ll lead initiatives that go beyond filling positions—creating meaningful connections and building trust with candidates and stakeholders. From crafting employer branding to managing end-to-end recruitment, you’ll ensure every interaction reflects our values.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive talent attraction strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of skilled professionals for offshore roles.
  • Lead the Cadet Programme, supporting the next generation of seafarers.
  • Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers, providing insights and guidance.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion in all recruitment activities and find the candidate with the cultural fit to the company.
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance candidate experience and efficiency.
  • Coordinate offshore recruitment, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations (MLC, STCW, NR-30, Petrobras).
  • Plan and conduct recruitment for key maritime positions: Captain, Chief Officer, Deck Officer, Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer Officer, Electrician/ETO, Able Seafarers and Motormen, Cooks and Stewards, etc.
  • Monitor KPIs, report results, and propose improvements.
  • Ensure that candidate records, certifications, and technical documentation are updated and accurate.
  • Ensure candidate records and certifications are accurate and up to date.
  • Support audits and collaborate with Payroll, Training & Compliance, and Vessel Operations.
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding and participate in the Crewing Duty Phone rotation.

Operational excellence will underpin your work—maintaining accurate candidate data, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and collaborating across HR, Payroll, Training, and Vessel Operations teams. You’ll also contribute to shaping the future of our talent strategy through innovative ideas and quality-driven initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, HR, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in offshore recruitment.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English and Portuguese.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations (MLC, STCW, NR-30, NORMAM).
  • Proven previous experience conducting recruitment processes for maritime positions.
  • Skilled in recruitment platforms and advanced Excel.
  • Strategic mindset, strong networking skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Passion for the maritime industry and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in lean organisations and proactive process improvement.
  • Makes quality decisions quickly and confidently, even in fast-paced environments.
