Meet HSE Manager Fernanda Virgínio, who worked as part of our integrated project team to deliver the FPSO Fluminense mooring lines life extension project offshore Brazil.
“I joined the Integrated Solutions team for assisting in the preparations. From then on, I spent most of my days in meetings with our project team, with the customer and with subcontractors. While job execution, complexity and technical demands were not new to me, participating in planning and aligning with internal and external stakeholders was a new and exciting journey.
To top it all off, I participated as a Shift Supervisor during execution onboard Maersk Achiever. This meant I wouldn’t be spending Christmas with my family in Brazil, but it would be a great opportunity to be back onboard after working onshore for 1.5 years.
When winter arrived in Denmark, it was time for me to travel to Rio de Janeiro. After more meetings, inspections, and final preparations, we headed for the field. This was the first full-scope project Maersk Supply Service would deliver in Brazil – including project management, engineering, interface management and offshore execution. With 18 nationalities onboard, various work scopes to perform, high expectations and a lot of hard work from the team onboard, the project was completed safely and successfully.”
