As a leading provider of marine services, we work face-to-face with our customers every single day. That is our source of motivation. We are proud of the trust that our customers place in our captains and crews, and even prouder of our excellent record in operational reliability.

The reason we can deliver outstanding marine services is first and foremost down to our people. Both offshore and onshore, Maersk Supply Service has always been driven by a strong team spirit, and we seek to enjoy ourselves while delivering superior performance. We have a flat hierarchy with a short chain of command, as we know we can rely on each other.

For decades, Maersk Supply Service has set the industry training standard. The majority of our marine officers are educated at our schools in England, Brazil and Denmark, and our simulator centre is the most advanced in the world. It supports the continuous improvement cycle that's at the heart of our crewing strategy, just as we continuously try to develop the competencies of our global onshore staff.

One team

With more than 2,200 employees representing over 15 nationalities operating across the globe, one of our top priorities is to ensure that our teams work seamlessly together.  It's also one of the reasons our motto is 'Different Cultures – One Team'.

We have a long history of working with diversity so we can use our experience to our customers' advantage.  We know that an atmosphere of respect and cooperation is essential in the daily interactions between supply crews and offshore customers, just as it is between our office staff and business partners around the world. That's why we invest as much in training our captains' people skills as their abilities to operate our vessels.

Maersk Supply Service has established a global standard in crew training and operational performance. It enables all staff to work well side by side irrespective of national background, job scope or customer requirements. It guarantees that we're able to meet national crewing requirements, while maintaining the service quality that our customers have come to expect from us, and value so highly.

Safety Culture

We are recognised as being among the best in the industry when it comes to safety – but we want to raise the bar even higher.  Maersk Supply Service is constantly striving to improve its safety standards, and this begins with the day-to-day safety culture onboard all our vessels. We believe in the power of individual responsibility. Our crew members are expected to do everything within their power to prevent incidents and accidents onboard their own vessel, and all employees have the obligation to stop work which they consider unsafe and have the obligation to stop colleagues taking unsafe actions. Beyond that, we ask that they share best practices with their colleagues so that all crews can learn from them, at the same time reinforcing our safety mindset and improving the quality of service we provide our customers.
