Corporate Citizenship
Our corporate citizenship is governed by our strong values. Being a good corporate citizen has always been an integral part of the way we do business in the A. P. Moller - Maersk Group. It implies that we believe in constant care and that we strive to be upright, responsible and environmentally sound in our activities - globally as well as locally. Compliance with national as well as international legislation and conventions is obviously a natural part of this.
Subsequently, the following specific policies are established for our vessel operations:
Health and Safety
It is our policy to conduct our activities in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees, and that our vessel operations and employees do not harm the health and safety of others.
Environmental Protection
We are committed to the protection and conservation of the environment and place high priority on environmental considerations in managing our business.
Quality
It is our policy to provide flawless service meeting our customers' requirements the first time, everytime.
Security
It is our policy to show constant care to prevent breaches of security associated with our operations and we rank security considerations equally with commercial and operational factors in managing our business.
Drug and Alcohol
It is our policy that no employee, contractor or visitor shall be under influence of or in possession of any alcohol or drugs while onboard our vessels.
In implementing these policies we commit to continual improvement of our performance in all of the above policy areas. This is supported by a continual improvement of the effectiveness of the management system.
